About Us
Rob, our founder and lead tour guide, grew up in Morpeth, a town located just 75 minutes south of Edinburgh by train. Here he grew up with a passion for the nature and history that surrounded him.
Family trips to his favourite locations like Bamburgh Castle, Hadrians Wall and the Farne Islands were just the beginning of his love for exploration. However, his creativeness came from trips to Alnwick castle which famously featured in the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone movie where Harry had his first flying lesson.
Moving to Edinburgh after University Rob was able to use his contagious passion and start his journey in Edinburgh and Scotland tour guiding. Originally he built two unique city walking tours seamlessly intertwining his love for History, Nature and Harry Potter. Due to the success of these tours and his love for the country he expanded his tours to scale the whole breadth of Scotland's highlands and islands. Whether its exploring captivating castle ruins, hiking up mountains, searching for bird and wildlife or kayaking in the beautiful waters of the Outer Hebrides. He loves it all!
Outside of Tour Guiding, Rob has a love for nature, sport and travelling so he takes every opportunity to explore and hike around the world to learn about and find the most magical locations so that he can share this information with you. He also likes to indulge in local cuisine, beers and whisky. If you want to learn more about secret and mesmerising locations along with the best bars/restaurants to visit check out our blog!
