Tour Itinerary

Edinburgh Harry Potter Walking Tour

The start of our trip begins by exploring Edinburgh’s Potter Trail through a unique Harry Potter and History Walking Tour. This weaves through Edinburgh’s Old Town visiting a stunning castle viewpoint on the way whilst  digesting the cities magical architecture and ambiance which fueled J.K. Rowling’s imagination whilst creating the series.

The Highlands of Scotland

The adventure begins travelling north west into the Trossachs National Park for breakfast where we will prepare ourselves for a day of exploring some of Scotland’s most enchanting castle ruins: Doune, Finlarig, and Kilchurn. Then drive through Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most beautiful landscapes, locally known as ‘the valley of the weeping’. Here we will head up to where Hagrid’s Hut was located in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Our final stop for the day will be the vibrant coastal town of Oban, the seafood capital of Scotland, where we will spend the night.

Watch the Jacobite Steam Train

On the second day, we wake up in the beautiful seaside town of Oban, enjoying incredible views over the western islands named the Inner Hebrides, including the Isles of Mull and Kerrera. Our first stop is Steall Falls, the incredible waterfall which is used as a backdrop in the Triwizard Tournament. After this we will chase the Jacobite Steam Train, the real-life Hogwarts Express, and walk up to the iconic viewpoint over the Glenfinnan Viaduct to see it crossing the bridge.

Hike the Old Man of Storr

Climbing the Old Man of Storr is a hike like no other. This iconic pinnacle on the Isle of Skye offers a hike through otherworldly landscapes, where jagged rock formations rise dramatically against the sky. An absolute must for any visitor to Scotland. You may recognise this amazing landscape from the TV playing its part in the 2015 version of Shakespeare’s MacBeth

Eilean Donan Castle and The Hermitage of Dunkeld

We start at the old Sligachan bridge to view the Black Cuillins before waving goodbye to the island and returning to the mainland. Whilst driving through the region of Kyle of Lochalsh we will take the opportunity to visit the most photographed castle in Scotland, Eilean Donan. As well as savouring some unique treats at Manuela’s Wee Bakery before making our way towards the charming town of Dunkeld. Here we finish off the trip  with a bang at The Hermitage walking through the huge Douglas Fir Trees to the Black Linn falls.

Touring Loch Ness

At the southern tip of Loch Ness, Fort Augustus is a charming town, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and Highland hospitality. Its picturesque setting along the Caledonian Canal makes it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll, where you can watch boats navigate the locks. Whilst whipping out your binoculars to search for the legendary Loch Ness Monster. Imagine going home telling you have made friends with Nessie!
